Thank you for your interest in Las Vegas Marching Arts. The Las Vegas
Marching Arts (LVMA) organization has formed for the sole purpose of
supporting and promoting the activity of a world class drum and bugle
corps for the city of Las Vegas youth and the young people of the Great
State of Nevada.
At some point in time we must all make the decision to stop exhausting
our energies and resources that focus only on the long arm of the law
and judicial enforcements and decide we want to see solutions for the
young people of our community and state. We must not lose perspective
of our collective goals, and we must continue to expand our horizons
that encompass programs that enhance the integrity of today’s young
people through a tried and proven program such as education through
music and performance competitions.
As we are in the early stages of this 'larger than life' endeavor, we
are currently in need of virtually everything. Currently we prefer to
focus on 'in kind' donations of items and services required for the
start up of this organization.
It is the intent of LVMA to field a competitive drum corps in the
summer of 2010, initially starting as an Open Class corps which would
evolve into a Division I corps.. There has never been a drum and bugle
corps show in the city of Las Vegas, nor the state of Nevada, although
the interest by the youth living in Nevada is increasing. Many Nevada
youth interested in participating in Open Class and Division I drum and
bugle corps are required to travel great distances by planes in order
to participate in the educational life experience. Within increased
interest in marching and music education, LVMA believes the timing is
right to initiate this organization.
